Dr. Grover, MD, FASAM, FASA is a physician specializing in Addiction Medicine, Mental Health, and Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy. With extensive experience in hospital and outpatient settings, he takes an integrative, evidence-based approach to mental health and addiction recovery, addressing underlying causes rather than just symptoms.

With over 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Grover has worked extensively in addiction treatment and mental health services. His practice is grounded in compassionate, patient-centered care, blending traditional medical approaches with innovative treatments such as psychedelic-assisted therapy and holistic interventions. In addition to medical treatment, Dr. Grover emphasizes the mind-body connection in healing. He has been practicing yoga for 25 years and teaching for over a decade, integrating breathwork, movement, and somatic practices to support emotional regulation and overall well-being. His approach combines medical expertise with holistic therapies, recognizing the importance of nervous system regulation, mindfulness, and resilience in the healing process.

At Taproot Healing, Dr. Grover is committed to providing comprehensive, individualized care that empowers individuals to reclaim their mental health and well-being. "I believe that healing is possible for everyone, and that change—no matter how difficult—begins with trust, self-compassion, and the right support. If you're ready to explore healing at the root, I invite you to connect and begin your journey with Taproot Healing."

Clinical Approach

At Taproot Healing, we integrate medical, psychological, and behavioral expertise to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care. Our clinical model is informed by the latest research in addiction medicine, psychiatry, and integrative mental health.

We take a patient-centered approach, recognizing the unique biological, emotional, and environmental factors that contribute to each individual’s challenges. Treatment plans are tailored to support both immediate stabilization and long-term recovery, with a strong emphasis on continuity of care.

Our clinical philosophy includes:

  • Stability – Establishing a secure foundation through medication management, structured support, and therapeutic consistency

  • Deep Healing – Addressing the root causes of suffering through trauma-informed care and evidence-based interventions

  • Sustainable Growth – Promoting long-term wellness through collaborative treatment planning and adaptive, goal-oriented strategies

  • Mind-Body Integration – Incorporating mindfulness, somatic awareness, and lifestyle medicine to support holistic outcomes

We view healing as a dynamic process — one that is strengthened through collaboration, education, and compassionate care.

Meet the Team

  • Susannah has worked in addiction medicine and psychiatry since 2019, when she started as an addiction medicine RN at Hoag Hospital, where she met Dr. Grover.

As an NP, Susannah blends a personable, relaxed approach with evidenced-based care, and has a profound compassion for the clients she treats, always asking herself: "Is this the treatment I would provide my loved one?"

Patients can expect a thorough and personalized assessment and treatment plan, grounded in the treatment goals of the client, with a holistic approach to incorporate mind, body, and soul. Her approach is informed but relaxed, understanding that every client is at a different place in their treatment journey.
